Llangattock, a township and a parish in Monmouthshire. The township lies on the river Usk, adjacent to Caerleon, 3 miles NE of Newport. Acreage, 2367; population, 246. The parish contains also the township of Caerleon, which has a post office under Newport. Acreage of the parish, 2893 ; population, 1657. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Llandaff; gross value, £302 with residence. Patrons, the Dean and Chapter of Llandaff. The church stands in Caerleon, is an ancient structure, with interesting features, and was restored in 1867. See CAEKLEON.
