Llanwnen, a parish in Cardiganshire, near the influx of the river Granell to the Teifi, 3 miles W by S of Lampeter. It has a post office under Llanybyther; money order and telegraph office, Llanybyther. Acreage, 2545 ; population of the civil parish, 269; of the ecclesiastical, 537. Llwyn-y-Groes is a chief residence. Remains of an old fort are at Castell Du. The church is dedicated to St Gwynin.
