Description
Cilcennin, a parish in Cardiganshire, on the river Ayron, 6 miles ESE of Aberayron, and 10 NW of Lampeter station on the Manchester and Milford railway. It has a post office under Ciliau Aeron (R.S.O.); money order office, Talsarn; telegraph office, Aberayron. Acreage, 3410; population, 454. The living is a vicarage, annexed to Llanbadarn Tref-eglwys, in the diocese of St David's; joint net value, £50 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of St David's. The church was thoroughly restored in 1891. The churchyard was enlarged in the same year.
