Fishlake, a village, a township, and a parish in the W. iB. Yorkshire. The township lies on the river Don, 1 'mile ENE of Stainforfch station on the M.S. & L.R, and includes the villages of Fosterhouses and Hay Green. It hasa post office under Doncaster; money order and telegraph office, Thorne. Acreage, 3329; population, 450. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of York; net value, £270 with residence. Patrons, the Dean and Chapter of Durham. The church is old and interesting, with Norman porch and battlemented tower. There are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels. An endowed school has £60, and other charities £87 yearly.
