Description
Denaby, a township in Mexborough parish, in the W. R. Yorkshire, on the river Don, 4 1/4 miles SW of Doncaster. There is a post, money order, and telegraph office called Denaby Main under Rotherham. Acreage, 1058 ; population, 1708. There are two large collieries, bone mills, and glass works. Thrybergh Park is the seat of the Fullerton family, who are lords of the manor. There is a Wesleyan chapel, a Church of England mission school, and an institute.
