Description
Churwell, a township and a village forming an ecclesiastical parish with the township of Morley in the W. R. Yorkshire, with a station on the L. & N.W.R. It lies 3 miles SSW of Leeds, under which it has a post and money order office; telegraph office, Morley. Acreage of township, 489 ; population, 1980. There are collieries here, and three dissenting chapels.
