Caldwell, a township in St John Stanwick parish, in the N. R. Yorkshire, on an affluent of the river Tees, 8 miles N of Richmond. Acreage, 1589; population, 155. Post town, Darlington; money order office, Aldborough. There is a chapel of ease under Stanwick.
