Bessingby, a village, a township, and a parish in the E. R. Yorkshire, on the N.E.R., 1 1/2 mile SW of Bridlington station. The post town is Bridlington. Acreage, 1270; population, 171. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of York; net value, £68. A beautiful new church was erected in 1893.
