Appletreewick, West Riding

Description
Appletreewick, a village and a township in Bumsall parish, in the W. R. Yorkshire. The village stands on the river Wharfe, near Bardon Fell, 8 1/2 miles NE by E of Skipton, and has a fair on 27 Oct. Lord-Mayor Craven was a native. The township includes also Skirehoime hamlet. Acreage, 7689; population, 229. Post town, Skipton. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
