Somerford, Great or Broad, a parish, with a village and a hamlet, in Wiltshire, on the river Avon, with a station on the G.W.R., 91 miles from London. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; net value, £410. Patron, Exeter College, Oxford. The church is a handsome stone structure in the Perpendicular style, and has been well restored. There is a small Wesleyan chapel.
