Crook, a township-chapelry in Kendal parish, Westmorland, 2 miles from Burnside railway station, and 4 WNW of Kendal. It has a post office under Kendal; money order and telegraph office, Staveley. Area, 2119 acres ; population of the township, 250 ; of the ecclesiastical district, 293. Crook Hall was the seat of the Philipsons.
