Woolavington, a parish in Sussex, 4 miles from Petworth station on the L.B. & S.C.R. It has a post office, of the name of Lavington, under Petworth; money order and telegraph office, Petworth. Acreage, 2390; population, 405. Lavington House belongs to the Wilberforce family. The living, united ecclesiastically to Graffham, is a rectory in the diocese of Chichester; gross value, £105. The church is an ancient building of stone in the Early English style, and contains some brasses to the Wilberforce and other families.
