Description
Westfield, a parish in Sussex, 4 miles E of Battle station on the S.E.R. It has a post and money order office under Battle; telegraph office, Sedlescombe. Acreage, 4314; population, 1051. Oaklands, Crowham Manor, and Westfield House are the chief residences. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Chichester; net value, £375 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Chichester. The church is an ancient building of stone in the Early English style, and has been restored. There are Congregational, Bible Christian, and Primitive Methodist chapels.
