Walberton, a parish, with a village, in Sussex, 1 1/4 mile NE of Barnham Junction station on the L.B. & S.C.R., and 3 miles WSW of Arundel. It has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Arundel. Acreage, 1733; population of the civil parish, 628; of the ecclesiastical, 665. Walberton House and Avisford House are the chief residences. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Chichester; net value, £285 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Chichester. The church is Norman and Early English.
