Description
Fittleworth, a village and a parish in Sussex. The village stands near a bridge on the river Rother, and has a station on the L.B. & S.C.R., 50 miles from London, and 2^ SE by E of Petworth. It has a post and money order office, under Pulborough (R.S.O-); telegraph office, Fittleworth railway station. The parish comprises 2362 acres; population, 761. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Chichester; net value, £271 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Chichester. The church is very good, and there are some charities.
