Description
Chithurst, a parish in Sussex, on the river Rother, 2 miles from Elsted station on the L.B. & S.C.R., and 6^ E of Petersfield, which is the post town; money order office, Ro-gate; telegraph office, Midhurst. Area, 1199 acres; population, 297. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the rectory of Iping, in the diocese of Chichester. The-church is good, and a turret was added in 1885.
