Description

Brightwell, a village and a parish in Suffolk, 2 miles NE from Orwell station on the G.E.R., and 5 1/2 E by S of Ipswich, which is the post, money order, and telegraph office. Acreage of parish, 1114; population, 60. The living is a vicarage, united with the perpetual curacy of Kesgrave and Foxhall, in the diocese of Norwich; value, £93. The church is a building of rubble in the Early English style, containing some monuments to the families of Easington and Bamardiston.
