Description
Wheathill, a parish in Somerset, 4 miles WSW of Castle Cary station on the G.W.R. Post town, Somerton, under Taunton. Acreage, 325; population, 30. A priory cell to Glastonbury Abbey was here, and is now a farmhouse. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells; gross value, £90. The church is an ancient building of stone in the Gothic style, and was restored in 1887.
