West Buckland, Somerset

Description
Buckland, West, a parish in Somersetshire, under Blackdown Hill, near the Bristol and Exeter railway, 2 1/2 miles E of Wellington. It has a post office under Wellington, which is the money order and telegraph office. Acreage, 3697; population, 785. The living is a vicarage, annexed to the vicarage of Wellington, in the diocese of Bath and Wells. The church, excepting the tower, was rebuilt in 1863.
