Description
Timberscombe, a parish, with a village, in Somerset, 3 miles from Dunster station on the G.W.R. It has a post and money order office under Dunster; telegraph office, Dunster. Acreage, 2858; population of the civil parish, 382; of the ecclesiastical, 307. There is a parish council consisting of five members. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Bath and Wells; net value, £250. Patron, the Bishop. The church is of the 14th century, and was well restored in 1882. There is a Bible Christian chapel.
