Stockland Bristol, a parish in Somerset, near the coast of Bridgwater Bay, 6 1/2 miles NW of Bridgwater station on the G.W.R. Post town, Bridgwater; money order and telegraph office, Cannington. Acreage, 827; population of the civil parish, 122; of the ecclesiastical, 161. The living is a vicarage, with the chapelry of Stert Bay annexed, in the diocese of Bath and Wells; gross value, £260 with residence. The church is Early English. There is a mission church at Stert erected in 1882.
