Huish Champflower, a village and a parish in Somerset. The village stands on the river Tone, 3f miles W by N of Wiveliscombe station on the G.W.R. It has a post office under Wiveliscombe; money order and telegraph office, Wiveliscombe. Acreage of parish, 3334; population, 317. The manor belongs to the Trevelyan family. Iron mines are on the N border, on the Brendon Hills, and were once worked by the Ebbw Vale Company, but are now disused. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells; value, £330 with residence. The church is ancient, and consists of nave, aisle, and chancel, with a tower.
