Description
Hornblotton, a parish in Somerset, on the Fosse Way, 4 1/4 miles WNW of Castle Gary station on the G.W.R. Post town. Castle Cary. Acreage, 1106; population of the civil parish, 113; of the ecclesiastical, 208. The living is a rectory, annexed to the rectory of Alford, in the diocese of Bath and Wells. The church was built in 1874, and is in the Decorated style. The tower of the old church is left standing, and is most picturesque.
