Donyatt, Somerset

Description
Donyatt, a parish in Somerset, on the river Isle, adjacent to the Chard Canal, 1 1/4 mile WSW of Ilminster station on the G.W.R. It includes part of Crock Street hamlet, and its post town is Ilminster. Acreage, 1241; population, 355. Some of the inhabitants are employed in potteries and woollen mills. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells; value, £147 with residence. The church is old but good, and has a tower.
