Dinnington, a parish in Somerset, 4 miles NW by W of Crewkerne station on the L. & S.W.R. Post town, Crewkerne; money order and telegraph office, Hinton St George> Acreage, 584; population, 137. The living is a rectory consolidated with the rectory of Seavington St Michael, in the diocese of Bath and Wells; value, £320. Patron, Earl Poulett. A new church on the site of the old one, and in the Later English style, was founded in 1863. There is a chapel for Bible Christians.
