Description
Combe-Florey, a parish in Somerset, near Bishops-Lydeard station on the G.W.R., and 5 miles NE of Wivelis-combe. Post town, Bishops-Lydeard, under Taunton, which is the money order and telegraph office. Acreage, 1382; population, 260. Combe House is a seat in the neighbourhood. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells; value, £247. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is neat, and has a tower. Sydney Smith was rector.
