Closeworth or Closworth, a parish in Somerset, on the river Yeo, at the boundary with Dorsetshire, 2 miles from Sutton Bingham station on the L. & S.W.R. Post town, Sherborne ; money order office, Yetminster ; telegraph office, North Coker. Acreage, 1083 ; population, 112. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells ; value, £118 with residence. Patron, Lord Portman. The church is Later English and good ; it was restored in 1875.
