Milton, Little, a village, a township, and an ecclesiastical parish in Oxfordshire, on the river Thame, 4 1/4 miles W by S of Tetsworth, 3 1/2 SW from Tiddington station on the Wycombe, Thame, and Oxford branch of the G.W.R., and 7 SW by W of Thame. There is a post and money order office under Tetsworth; telegraph office, Great Milton. Acreage of the township, 1348; population, 348 ; of the ecclesiastical parish, 368. The manor belongs to the Boulton family. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Oxford; gross value, £245 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Oxford. Ascot is a hamlet 2 miles SE of Little Milton, but is included within the limits of the ecclesiastical parish. The church was built in 1844, is in the Early English style, and consists of nave and chancel, with a tower, and a fine peal of six bells.
