Cottisford, a parish in Oxfordshire, near the boundary with Northamptonshire, 4 miles S from Brackley station on the L. & N.W.R., and 6 N of Bicester. Post town, Brackley; money order and telegraph office, Brackley. Acreage, 1506; population, 222. Cottisford House is the chief residence. Part of the land is heath. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Oxford; gross yearly value, £277. Patron, Eton College. The church is an ancient building of stone in the Early English and Perpendicular styles.
