Collingham, North, a village and a parish in Notts. The village stands on the river Fleet, and has a station on the M.R., and a post, money order, and telegraph office called Collingham, under Newark. Acreage of parish, 2479 ; population, 875. The manor belongs to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of South-well ; net value, £275 with residence. Patrons, the Dean and Chapter of Peterborough. The church was restored in 1860. There are Baptist and Wesleyan chapels, an endowed Baptist school, and a rural library. Dr Blow, the musician, was a native.
