Kidland, Northumberland

Description
Kidland, a township not included in any parish, and comprising the hamlets of Whiteburn Shank, Milkhope, Barrow Burn, and Rowhope, Northumberland, on a branch of the river Coquet, among the Cheviots, 14 miles NW by W of Rothbury. Acreage, 17, 094; population, 79. There are remains of ancient British earthworks and vestiges of Memmer Kirk.
