Ingoe, a village and a township in the ecclesiastical parish of Matfen, Stamfordham parish, Northumberland, 2 miles from Matfen, 9 1/2 NE by N of Hexham, and 6 from Choller-ton station on the North British railway. Post town, Newcastle; money order office, Matfen; telegraph office, Stamfordham. Acreage, 2137; population, 117. The manor belongs to the Duke of Northumberland. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
