Hauxley, a township in Warkworth parish, Northumberland, on the coast, 3 miles SE of Warkworth, and 4 from Acklington station on the N.E.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Amble. Acreage, 754; population, 1030. Coal is extensively worked, and a fishery trade is carried on. There is a reading-room and a lifeboat station.
