Description
Grindon, a township in Norham parish, Northumberland, 7 miles SW of Berwick-upon-Tweed, and about 2 from Nor-ham station on the N.E.R. Post town, money order, and telegraph office, Norham. Acreage, 1493; population, 109. A battle was fought on Grindon Hill, in 1558, between the Percys and Scots.
