Description
Greenleighton, a township in Cambo parish, Northumberland, 6 1/2 miles SSW of Rothbnry, and 3 from Long Witton station on the North British railway. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Cambo. Acreage, 1670; population, 7. It is noted for its fine green hill and its excellent limestone, and it has an oval camp encompassed by a fosse. Sir G. 0. Trevelyan, Bart., is lord of the manor.
