Winwick, a village and a parish in Northamptonshire, on the Grand Union Canal, 4 1/2 miles NNE of Crick station on the Rugby and Northampton section of the L. & N.W.R. Post town, Rugby; money order and telegraph office, West Haddon. Acreage, 2079; population, 137. The manor belongs to the baronet family of Langham. Wanwick Warren is the chief residence. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough; gross value, £594 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Peterborough. The church, which stands on rising ground, is a building of stone in the Early English, Decorated, and Perpendicular styles, consisting of chancel, nave, transepts, N and S porches, and an embattled western tower.
