Description
Stoke Doyle, a parish on the west bank of the river Nene, in Northamptonshire, 2 1/2 miles SSW of Oundle station on the Northampton and Peterborough section of the L. & N.W.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Oundle. Acreage, 1570; population, 120. The manor belongs to the Capron family. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough; net value, £120 with residence. The church, erected in 1727, is a plain building of stone in the Classic style.
