Hemington, a parish in Northamptonshire, adjacent to Hunts, 5 miles SE from Oundle, and 4 E from Barnwell station on the L. & N.W.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Oundle. Acreage, 1354; population of the civil parish, 139; of the ecclesiastical, 201. The manor belongs to the Duke of Buccleuch, who is also sole landowner. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Peterborough, and was annexed in 1867 to Luddington-in-the-Brook. The church is a plain building of stone in the Gothic style of the 14th century.
