Description
Yaxham, a parish, with a village, in Norfolk, on the Wymondham and Dereham branch of the G.E.R., 2 miles SSE of East Dereham. It has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Dereham. Acreage, 1641; population, 450. There is a parish council consisting of seven members. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net value, £400 with residence. The church is an interesting building of flint in various styles of architecture, and has been well restored. There is a Congregational chapel.
