Wroxham, Norfolk

Description
Wroxham, a parish, with a village, in Norfolk, on the river Bure, with a station on the G.E.R., 7 miles NE of Norwich. It has a post, money order, and telegraph office. Acreage, 1414 of land and 124 of water; population of the civil parish, 415; of the ecclesiastical with Salhouse, 1054. Wroxham Hall and Wroxham House are the chief residences. The Bure here forms a fine broad, well stocked with fish, and is crossed by a neat bridge. There are large mailing establishments. The living is a vicarage, united with Salhouse, in the diocese of Norwich; gross value, £240 with residence. The church is an ancient building with a tower.
