Description
Wickmere, a parish in Norfolk, 5 miles from Aylsham station on the G.E.R. Post town, Aylsham, under Norwich. Acreage, 998; population of the civil parish, 236; of the ecclesiastical, with Wolterton, 281. There is a parish council of five members and a chairman. The manor belongs to the Earl of Orford. The living is a rectory, annexed to Wolterton. The church is a large and ancient building of flint in the Early English style. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
