Description
Lexham, West, a parish in Norfolk, 2 1/2 miles E of the Peddar Way, 3 W of Litcham, and 3 3/4 NNW of Dnnham station on the G.E.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Litcham, under Swaffham. Acreage, 1180; population, 122. The Earl of Leicester is lord of the manor and chief landowner. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net value, £140 with residence. The church is a small building of stone in the Decorated style, partly ancient and partly rebuilt in 1881.
