Description
Topcroft, a parish, with a scattered village, in Norfolk, 3 miles from Homersfield station on the G.E.R., and 6 WNW of Bungay. It has a post and money order office under Bungay; telegraph office, Hempnall. Acreage, 1917; population, 344. There is a parish council of seven members and a chairman. The living is a rectory in The diocese of Norwich; net value, £175 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Norwich. The church is an ancient edifice of flint in the Perpendicular style, and was restored in 1876. There is a Congregational chapel.
