Description
Terrington St John, a parish, with a village, in Norfolk, 2 1/2 miles S by W of Terrington station on the Bourn and Lynn railway, and 6 1/2 WSW of Lynn. It has a post and money order office under Lynn; telegraph office, Terrington St Clement. Acreage, 2414; population of the civil parish, 603; of the ecclesiastical, 638. The living is a vicarage ia' the diocese of Norwich; net value, £136 with residence. Patron, the Crown. The church is of the 15th century, and has a detached tower. There is a Methodist chapel.
