Stody, a parish in Norfolk, 3 miles SW of Holt, and 2 NE from Melton Constable station on the Midland and Great Northern Joint railway. Post town, Dereham; money order and telegraph office, Melton Constable. Acreage, 1112; population, 139. The manor, with most of the land, belongs to the Lothian family. The living is a rectory, united with Hunworth, in the diocese of Norwich; joint net value, £247 with residence. Patron, the Marchioness of Lothian. The church is a cruciform building in the Perpendicular style.
