Description
Reymerston, a parish, with a village, in Norfolk, 1 1/4 mile SW of Thuston station on the Wymondham and Dereham section of the G.E.R., and 5 1/2 miles SSE of East Dereham. It has a post office under Attleborough (R.S.O.); money order office, Thuxton; telegraph office, Hingham. Acreage, 1648; population, 287. New Hall is a modern mansion of brick pleasantly situated in grounds of about 100 acres. The manor belongs to the Gurdon family. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net value, JE269 with residence. The church is an ancient building of flint in mixed styles, consisting of chancel, nave, aisles, N porch, and a western tower.
