Kirby Cane, a village and a parish in Norfolk. The village stands 1 1/2 mile NNE of Ellingham station on the G.E.R., 1 1/2 N of the river Waveney at the boundary with Suffolk, and S-miles NE of Bungay, and has a post office under Bungay; money order and telegraph office, Geldeston. The parish comprises 1512 acres; population, 369. Kirby Cane Hall is a handsome white mansion, surrounded by a park and commanding a fine view.
