Colby, a village and a parish in Norfolk, on an affluent of the river Bure, 3- 1/4 miles NE from Aylsham station on the G.E.R., and 3 from Aylsham Town station on the Eastern and Midland railway. Post town, Aylsham; money order and telegraph office, Aylsham. Acreage, 1121; population, 276. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; value, £279 with residence. The church is a building of flint in the Perpendicular style. Bishop Colby of Lismore was a native.
