Description
Winthorpe, a parish in Lincolnshire, 2 miles from Skegness station on the G.N.R., and 10 1/2 E of Spilsby. It has a post and money order office under Skegness; telegraph office, Skegness. Acreage, 2308; population of the civil parish, 326; of the ecclesiastical, with Burgh-in-the-Marsh, 1295. There is a parish council consisting of seven members. The living is a vicarage annexed to Burgh. The church is a handsome building of freestone in the Decorated and Perpendicular styles, and has been well restored.
