Description
Keal, West, a village and a parish in Lincolnshire. The village stands 3 miles SW from Spilsby station on the G.N.R., and 16 S from Louth, and has a post office at Keal Coates, under SpUsby; money order and telegraph office, East Kirkby. The parish contains also the hamlet of Keal Coates. Acreage, 2012; population, 314. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £200 with residence. The church stands on an eminence, is mainly Perpendicular in style, and consists of nave, aisles, and chancel, with a tower. It contains some curiously carved capitals. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
